ZAKK WYLDE: New Audio Interview Available
February 21, 2009Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE) was recently interviewed on the Eugene, Oregon radio station 101.5 KFLY FM by Carl Sundberg and Tobby Lugo. The chat is now available for streaming at this location.
A posting on the KFLY web site reads: "Carl and Tobby attempted their interview with guitar legend and virtuoso Zakk Wylde with the intention to ask him all the questions that are on everyone's mind, you know, a standard-ass interview. Instead they were caught off guard by Zakk's vulgar and hysterical commentary on baseball and steroids, his crazed off-the-cuff remarks about touring and coming home to his wife and kids, paying for family member's weddings and being trapped in a hotel complex somewhere in the Carribean, what it was like starring on 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force', divulging his tricks at his infamous 'pinch harmonic' guitar squeal and various party tales that only Zakk Wylde could tell."
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY announced in June 2007 that it had parted ways with Roadrunner Records.
The group's sole release through Roadrunner was 2006's "Shot to Hell" album.
"Shot to Hell" sold just under 32,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release — less than the 45,000 copies shifted by BLS's "Mafia" (Artemis) back in March 2005 — to land at position No. 21 on The Billboard 200 chart.
